Amazon Tours Inc. was established in 1992 by Phil Marsteller Sr., a visionary in Amazon sportfishing. Raised on the banks of the Rio Negro, Phil's deep connection to the river and its people led him to pioneer high-end fishing expeditions that introduced the world to the thrill of landing trophy peacock bass in one of the most remote and pristine ecosystems on Earth. Under his leadership, Amazon Tours Inc. built a reputation for excellence, adventure, and conservation.
After Phil Sr.'s passing in 2022, his legacy lives on through his son, Phil Marsteller Jr., who revitalized Amazon Tours Inc. with the same dedication to world-class fishing and deep respect for the Amazon. Like his father, Phil Jr. grew up along the Rio Negro, immersed in its waters, wildlife, and communities. From a young age, he developed a passion for the river, the culture, and the people who call it home. That lifelong connection fuels his commitment to preserving the legacy of Amazon Tours while evolving it for a new generation of anglers.
